About Youth Services

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal program that funds various workforce initiatives, including youth programming.

WIOA Youth programming at the Center for Workforce Development is here to assist Sullivan County youth between the ages of 16-24.

We can help out of school and in school (Juniors and Seniors) youth obtain a diploma or GED, plan a career, find a job, get training, go to college, get a driver's license, and so much more!

The goal for our program is your success. Helping you navigate that path and plan for your future is our passion!

About the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

SYEP Webpage Link

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is funded by the Office of Temporary Disability and Assistance (OTDA). This program is for resident Sullivan County youth ages 14-21 and lasts 6 weeks throughout July and August.

Youth Participants must apply (applications release April 1st every year). Around the end of May, applicants will receive a call to schedule the in-person interview process. At the interview process, documents will be required by OTDA as there are eligibility requirements.

Each year, there is a variety of sites for employment both inside and outside. Job opportunities include clerical, landscaping, digital marketing, and more! We take your interests into consideration when doing job placements for SYEP.

In 2023, participant survey 100% of participants were happy with job placement!

We want you to earn money and gain employability skills during the summer work experience. Your success in this program is our goal.
