We believe in our Sullivan County youth and want them to be successfully employed in rewarding jobs. Our patient and supportive staff coaches and meets youth where they are in life. With some insight, direction and training we tailor programs that guide young adults in their search for that first job and connect them to the education and training they need to step into a successful career.
We work with partners from the business community, non-profits and government agencies, to find opportunities for education, career exploration, and skills training. We provide top notch resume building, interview skills development and assistance with finding a job, all at no charge. For Youth who meet Federal and State eligibility guidelines, we can provide school scholarships and financial support for tutoring, High School Equivalency Prep, vocation/occupations training, and solutions that help youth attain high levels of success.
The Center for Workforce Development also offers the Summer Youth Employment Program for young people ages 14-20. Host employers provide paid, short-term job training, giving youth the chance to earn money, develop excellent employee skills, find out about exciting local career industries and learn from working professionals.
