Sullivan County Debuts Series of Welcome Videos

Welcome Video

Monticello, NY – A new icon has popped up on Sullivan County’s website, sullivanny.us, and it leads to a wide-ranging exploration of the area’s offerings.

This past August, a videographer from Rochester-based CGI Digital spent three days crisscrossing the County to capture footage of the region’s natural beauty, tourism attractions, community-oriented agencies, and healthcare institutions.

“We’d worked with CGI a decade earlier on a similar project, so we looked forward to bringing them back to gain an updated view of the incredible variety of places, people and companies that make Sullivan such a memorably unique spot,” explained County Manager Josh Potosek.

Accessible through the camera icon located at the top right corner of the County’s webpage, each one-minute video focuses on a theme: healthcare, community organizations, tourism, arts and culture, and a general welcome reel. Footage includes both ground and aerial views of downtowns, the countryside, notable attractions, and the people who populate these places.

“There’s more to Sullivan County than many people know, including residents,” Potosek noted. “While you can’t cram all our uniqueness into five minutes, these videos aim to give everyone an appreciation of the incredible depth and breadth of offerings and communities throughout the County.”

CGI Digital’s services were provided free of charge to the County via its municipally-focused Community Showcase Video Program.
