Fraud Task Force Announces Arrests

Liberty, NY – The Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force has made the following arrests:

  • January 25, 2023 – Joshua England, 37, of Liberty, was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class E felony. It is alleged that England stole $1,356 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to disclose that he was in receipt of Unemployment Insurance Benefits for the time period of October 15, 2020 through August 31, 2021, at which time he was collecting SNAP benefits. England was processed and arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court, then remanded to the Sullivan County Jail pending a future court date in the Town of Liberty Court.
  • February 3, 2023 – Anjanie R. Mulholland, 38, of Neversink was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D felony. It is alleged that Mulholland stole SNAP benefits in the amount of $5,648 from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services for unreported income in the household from her husband’s employment occurring from October 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022, at which time Mulholland was receiving SNAP benefits. Mulholland was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and released on her recognizance pending a future court date in the Town of Liberty Court.
  • February 15, 2023 – Nathaniel P. Palmatier, 41, of Bloomingburg, was arrested and charged with the Class A misdemeanor of Petit Larceny. It is alleged that Palmatier stole $500 in SNAP benefits from the Sullivan County Department of Social Services by failing to report income from employment for the time period of December 24, 2021 through March 31, 2022, at which time he was collecting SNAP Benefits. Palmatier was processed and released on an appearance ticket pending a future court date in the Town of Liberty Court.
