Human Resources

The Human Resources unit works to increase communication and cooperation across the individual work units, to increase accuracy and productivity and to expedite workflow. The Manager works with the New York State Bureau of Training (BOT), the Sullivan County Personnel Office, Division Commissioners and Department heads, managers, supervisors, as well as a myriad of training providers to arrange training opportunities, meetings and conferences to meet the needs of the Department's workforce. This unit has the responsibility of identifying, assessing and developing the key competencies that enable staff to perform their current or future jobs. In addition, the unit provides new employee orientation for Family Services employees. It is committed to providing the highest quality training and support available in order to enable staff to better serve the individuals and families in our agency and in our community.
